LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE
We ride our bikes everywhere and know just about everyone we see around town. We can’t think of a better place to raise our children and are so grateful to call this enchanted island “home.
Living and working here we know Coronado, contact us and we’ll give you a personal tour.
“We ride our bikes everywhere and know just about everyone.”
After my father (a now-retired Navy Seal) and my mother had been stationed all over the US and overseas, they arrived in Coronado in 1979. They quickly decided that they were never going to move again. So, my father retired in late 1981, and I was born at Balboa Naval Hospital in 1982. I grew up attending Graham Memorial Preschool, Coronado Elementary, Middle and High School. I was involved in our fantastic local youth sports programs, took sailing courses in Glorietta Bay, and practically lived at the beach.
After moving to Los Angeles for college and work, I met and married my husband (also a Coronado local). When we decided to start a family of our own, we knew there was no other place we wanted to live and happily moved back to Coronado. We now live in the home where we grew up, and we’re just a block away from my childhood home.
We ride our bikes everywhere and know just about everyone we see around town. It’s our little piece of paradise and a fantastic place to watch our children grow up.
“No better place to raise our two sons.”
Coronado is a special place for all who live here and visit this beautiful Island. My love for Coronado started when I was very young.
My maternal grandparents, Admiral John and Mrs. Odette Davis built their home at 860 Country Club Lane in the 1950s. They raised their two daughters here (photo of my mother and aunt in front of their home) Ann (CHS class of 1966) and Betsy (CHS class of 1972).
My family spent holidays and summer vacations visiting our family in Coronado (photo of my sister and me with our grandfather by his pool in the backyard of our family home). Our best times growing up were spent in Coronado with our aunts and uncles, and cousins.
After I graduated from college and married my husband, we decided to move to Coronado and make it our forever home. We can’t think of a better place to raise our two sons and are so grateful to call this enchanted island “home.”
